Find your best casino match

Answer three short steps about how you play. We rank the cruise lines' casino rewards for you and estimate what the casino expects you to lose.

Start from an example player (optional)

Choosing an example fills in typical settings for that kind of player. You can change any of them in the steps below.

  1. Games you play

Pick every type you play. You'll describe how much in the next step.

Advanced: game assumptions

These shape the expected-loss and points estimates. Most people can leave them alone.

Nevada averaged about 7% in 2025. Ship holds aren't published.

8/5 Jacks or Better. Full-pay 9/6 is 0.46%.

Table house edges and decisions per hour come from a Las Vegas comp-rating table published by Wizard of Odds (blackjack 0.75% at 70 hands an hour, craps 1.58% at 48, and so on).

How the match score works

Programs aren't directly comparable, so we score what each one would give you, based on what the lines publish. A score is out of 100: 100 would mean your play reaches the program's top status, earns at least $300 of perks a cruise and unlocks its best cruise reward.

Status: up to 40

How far your yearly points get you up that line's tiers. For MSC and Princess, which reset every cruise, it's how far one sailing gets you up their offer levels.

Per-cruise value: up to 30

Published onboard credit or free play at the level you'd reach, counted up to $300 a cruise.

Cruise reward: up to 30

Whether you'd unlock an annual or free cruise, weighted by cabin type (interior lowest, suite highest).

Your preferences

Then we scale the score for smoke-free casinos, fees for charging play, UK eligibility, age rules and adults-only ships. If you require smoke-free, lines whose casino floors allow smoking are listed separately. If you're 18 to 20 and sailing to Alaska, lines with a 21+ Alaska rule drop out.

  • Table play is an estimateEvery line rates table play by hand. We estimate table points by assuming your table theo earns points at the same rate as slot theo on that line.
  • Some lines aren't rankedCarnival and Holland America don't publish tiers and invite players based on their play, so we show what your play would earn there instead of scoring it. Margaritaville doesn't publish its earning rate, and Explora has no casino program. Being unranked isn't a poor rating: there just isn't enough comparable information to score them.
  • Some figures are reported, not officialMSC's and Princess's earning rates and offer levels, Celebrity's tier thresholds and Virgin's 7% fee come from cruise press and comp-tracking sites. Each cruise line page lists its sources.
  • Expected loss isn't a predictionTheo is the long-run average. On any one cruise you can win or lose far more. Decide what you're comfortable losing first.
