Carnival Cruise Line casinos
Carnival puts a lively casino on every ship. Its Players Club runs on invitations rather than published tiers, and as of September 2026, casino points also count toward Carnival Rewards.

On the casino floor
Every Carnival ship has a casino with slots, video poker and table games. The Excel-class ships have what Carnival calls the fleet's biggest casinos. Carnival also points to exclusive slot titles such as Matilda the Cash Cow and Wheel of Fortune.
Jackpots
Carnival advertises a $1 million slot progressive jackpot (A jackpot that keeps growing as people play the linked games, until someone wins it.), plus fleetwide progressives on poker and blackjack.
$1 Million Slot Tournaments
Selected sailings host tournaments with a $500,000 grand prize: Carnival Jubilee on November 14, 2026 and May 15, 2027, and Carnival Festivale in November 2027.

Gambling for money is only allowed inside the casino.
Carnival Players Club
Carnival Players Club is free to join, and play is tracked on your Sail & Sign card. Instead of public points tiers, Carnival invites players to casino cruises based on their play.
How you earn
- Slots: 1 point per $2 played
- Video poker: 1 point per $5 played
- Table games: based on game, average bet and time played
- Free play (Promotional casino credit for the machines. The credit itself can't be cashed out, but what you win with it can.) is branded "FunPlay." Players Club perks include "Drinks On Us" offers
Casino play and Carnival Rewards
Carnival Rewards replaced the VIFP Club on September 1, 2026. It awards points and stars on eligible spending, and any casino points left at the end of a sailing convert 1-for-1 into Carnival Rewards points, posting about two weeks after the cruise. Casino play also earns stars toward tier status. Tiers are Red, Gold (10,000 stars), Platinum (50,000) and Diamond (100,000). Separately, Carnival's Fun Match program, open to US residents through at least December 31, 2026, considers status from other casinos when making offers.

Good to know before you play
- HoursCasinos close in port. Machines usually open about an hour after the ship leaves local waters, and tables often open around 10 a.m. on sea days.
- PayingInsert your Sail & Sign card at machines. Machines don't print vouchers, so you cash out at the cashier or a kiosk.
- Age18 and over to gamble (21 to drink). We didn't find a separate Alaska rule from Carnival, so confirm before you sail.
- SmokingMost casinos allow smoking, but 15 ships had separate non-smoking casino areas as of October 2026, up from 10 in 2024. Casinos are fully non-smoking on embarkation day until muster ends.
What's changed recently
- More non-smoking casinos. Carnival Conquest and Carnival Glory added non-smoking casino areas during 2026 updates.
- Carnival Rewards launches. VIFP is replaced, and leftover casino points now convert into Carnival Rewards points.
- 15 ships with non-smoking rooms. Carnival's brand ambassador John Heald published the updated list.
- Third casino on Carnival Firenze. A non-smoking casino added for adults-only sailings from Long Beach.
