Amsterdam cruise port

Passenger Terminal Amsterdam (PTA), Piet Heinkade 27 on the IJ waterfront, a 10–15 min walk east of Amsterdam Centraal; since 2026 PTA takes one ship a day (~100 calls/yr), so some ships use Felison Cruise Terminal in IJmuiden (~30–35 km west) or Coenhaven instead.

Getting there

  • AirportAmsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) · about 13 mi / 25–30 min by car; or ~20 min train to Centraal then 15 min walk or tram 26 to the port
  • TipConfirm your terminal: with PTA capped at one ship a day from 2026, some sailings use IJmuiden. Cruise-line coaches from there cost ~€45 (~$50) return and take 30–45 min; a taxi is €80–125 (~$85–135).
  • TipFrom Schiphol, take the train to Centraal (~20 min), then walk east along the IJ or ride tram 26 to the terminal. Taxis are usually not needed for PTA.
