How it plays. It is L&W's take on the Dragon Link formula. Gem symbols land during normal play and show how close you are to the bonus. Six or more start a hold & respin: gems lock in place, you get three respins, and each new gem resets the count to three. More on how it plays

Tips from players and reviewers

  • Treat it as a game on its way out. Under the 2026 settlement L&W must try to remove installed machines, so a ship that had it on your last cruise may not have it now.
  • Players look for machines whose Major meter has climbed high ('maxed-out majors', per Shinobi Slots and Jess vs Slots). A high meter means a bigger prize if it hits, not a better chance of hitting it.
  • On multi-denomination machines the jackpot meters can differ by denomination, so look at the meters for the one you plan to play.

Tips can't change the odds of any spin. They help you pick a bet level and a machine.

Industry standing and land-casino jackpots

Players who like Dragon Link-style hold & spin found a close cousin here, and the Red Phoenix theme also caught on with BetMGM's online players. It never spread widely on land. L&W says about 150 machines were in North America when it pulled the game in April 2025, after Aristocrat added it to its trade-secrets lawsuit over Dragon Train. In the January 2026 settlement L&W agreed to stop selling the game worldwide and to make best efforts to remove machines already installed.
